Location, fixture, and intended effect
An uplight at a tree, a path light beside a walk, and a hardscape light in a wall serve different purposes. A useful layout identifies the fixture type, location, and the feature it is intended to illuminate.
Fixture labels, mounting notes, and aiming intent can help a crew understand the proposal. Distinguish the physical location from the appearance a customer hopes to achieve.
The installation behind the effect
Transformer locations, proposed wire paths, and areas of control are useful to discuss on a property layout. Show access constraints and conditions that still need field verification.
Draw V1 uses general shapes and labels, not a lighting symbol catalog. Grid snapping, editable architectural lengths, and layers support a readable layout. Circuit calculations, voltage-drop analysis, photometrics, and nighttime visualizations are outside its scope.
